Sustainability.

Sustainability for us is not a certificate on the wall but a criterion for choosing materials, contractors and design decisions on every project.

Our position

Responsibility is built into the process, not added at the end.

We factor in environmental criteria from the first meeting - in choosing materials, planning logistics, managing construction waste and tuning building services.

This does not complicate the project. It makes it cheaper to run and better in air quality, acoustics and light for the people who work there every day.

Commitment

We build better, not because we have to, but because it is the right thing to do.

Every project is a chance to reduce the impact on the environment. Less waste, less energy, safer materials. We measure this and publish the results.

Areas

Four areas we work in.

Sustainable materials

We favour materials with low VOC content, a recycled composition or a responsibly sourced origin. Forbo, Interface and Knauf provide EPD declarations on their key lines. When choosing coverings and partitions, we compare not only price but the product's carbon footprint.

Energy efficiency

We design LED lighting with occupancy sensors and zoned control. We recommend HVAC systems with heat recovery. On a refurbishment, we audit the existing equipment and calculate the payback period for replacing it.

Waste management

On site we separate waste into streams - metal, plasterboard, packaging and wood-based materials. We work with contractors who send waste for recycling. Our target on every project is at least 70 percent of construction waste sent for recycling.

People's wellbeing

Air quality, acoustics, lighting and thermal comfort are parameters we build into the brief alongside the layout. The right environment cuts sick days, improves focus and helps retain staff.

Targets

What we measure on every project.

Cutting the carbon footprint

We choose materials with a documented carbon footprint. EPD declarations for partitions, coverings and furniture feed the client's ESG reporting.

Recycling construction waste

The target is at least 70 percent of waste sent for recycling. We record the actual figures for every project and hand them to the client in the final report.

Training the team

Annual training in sustainable construction standards for the design and build teams. New approaches go live only after review in team sessions.

Partners

Suppliers who share our approach.

Forbo, Interface and Knauf publish environmental declarations on their key lines and back up the material composition with documentation.

Working with these partners, we give the client documented proof of the environmental characteristics - for internal ESG reporting or a landlord's requirements.

Let's talk ESG

We help you meet your sustainability targets.

If your company reports on ESG or works with landlords who have green requirements, tell us at the first meeting. We will factor it into the design.
