Modern slavery statement.

In effect from 1 January 2026. FIT-OUT LLC holds to zero tolerance for forced labour, human trafficking and any form of exploitation, both within the Company and across its supply chain.

1. Introduction

FIT-OUT LLC (the Company) designs and builds office space in Uzbekistan. This Statement sets out the Company's position on modern slavery, a term covering forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking, forced child labour and other forms of exploitation.

This document was prepared voluntarily, reflecting the standard of responsible business conduct the Company has adopted for its operations.

2. Structure and supply chain

The Company operates in Uzbekistan and works with subcontractors, material and furniture suppliers, and specialist installation firms, mostly sourced from the domestic market. Key purchasing categories include the following.

  • construction and finishing materials
  • office furniture and workstation equipment
  • engineering systems (MEP) - electrics, ventilation and low-voltage networks
  • installation and specialist subcontractor services
  • IT infrastructure and office equipment

3. Risk assessment

The Company recognises that construction and furniture manufacturing are among the sectors at higher risk of labour rights violations. The main potential risks in our supply chain are as follows.

  • informal employment of temporary staff without written contracts
  • recruitment through intermediaries without proper checks on hiring conditions
  • prolonged overtime without fair compensation on construction sites
  • sourcing from lower-cost manufacturers with no verified labour standards

Our internal review found no material violations in the Company's own operations. Monitoring of the supply chain continues.

4. Labour rights policy

The Company holds to the following principles for every worker, whether permanent, temporary or engaged through a contracting organisation.

  • employment only on the basis of written contracts with clear pay and working hours
  • pay no lower than the statutory minimum
  • a ban on withholding identity documents
  • the worker's freedom to end employment without financial penalty
  • a ban on employing anyone under 18 at any production site

5. Vetting contractors

When selecting subcontractors and suppliers, the Company checks compliance with health, safety and labour legislation. New contractors complete a labour standards questionnaire before work begins. Existing contractors are reassessed at least once a year.

The Company reserves the right to end an agreement with any contractor found to have violated labour rights or used coercion.

6. Staff training

Everyone in procurement, project management and HR completes induction training on preventing forced labour when they join the Company. Leadership completes additional training whenever this Statement is updated.

Related materials are available in the Company's document management system.

7. Reporting a concern

Employees, subcontractors and other interested parties can report a suspected case of forced labour or a labour rights violation through the following channels.

Every report is handled in confidence, and anyone who reports in good faith is protected from retaliation.

8. Action on confirmed violations

Where a violation is confirmed, the Company will take immediate corrective action, ending the relationship with the contractor where necessary, supporting affected individuals and informing the relevant authorities as required by law.

This Statement is reviewed annually and approved by Company leadership. The updated version is published on fit-out.uz.
