The calculation is based on set norms - 10 sqm per person for fixed desks, 7 sqm for hot desks, 8 sqm for a hybrid format, and 15 sqm per meeting room. The collaborative space multiplier is 1.1, 1.25 or 1.4.

Methodology

How we calculate the area.

The calculator is based on industry norms and real data from projects delivered in Uzbekistan and the region. The base rate varies with the work format. In a flexible format desks are shared between people at different times, which reduces the work zone by 20-30%.

Collaborative space, including lounges, informal meeting spots and breakout areas, is calculated as a markup on the base area - 10%, 25% or 40% depending on the density coefficient chosen.
